IBOC Digital Radio at Consumer Electronics Show

Friday 24 January, 2003

iBiquity's introduction of IBOC ‘HD Radio™’ technology at this year's 2003
International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas was “a great success” according to Director of Broadcast Business Development at iBiquity, Scott Stull.

The first HD Radio capable radios from various iBiquity partners should be
available later this year in the US.

There appeared to be general industry support for the technology. Participants in a press conference included CEA, NAB, broadcaster Greater
Media, retailer Tweeter, receiver manufacturers Kenwood, Yamaha, Visteon
and Delphi and semiconductor manufacturer TI.

“The media coverage was
impressive with many news organizations and consumer magazines covering the
HD Radio technology introduction,” says Stull.

At CES, iBiquity announced “overwhelming broadcaster support for HD Radio
system since the FCC's approval of the technology in October 2002.” Over 35
broadcast groups in 26 states and 40 markets have committed to go on the
air with HD Radio broadcasts in early 2003.

Live on-air digital audio broadcasts were conducted from Las Vegas radio stations KLUC 98.5 and KXNT 840 AM.

iBiquity offered a view of the future for advanced wireless data services
such as interactive commerce and on-demand traffic and weather updates with
content provided by Accuweather and NPR displayed on a Visteon Navigation
Radio.
