Huge line-up for RTRFM’s Fremantle winter music festival

RTRFM is headed to North Fremantle once again for our 11th annual celebration of the sounds of the port city on Saturday, June 17.

Featuring over 20 acts, FWMF will take over five of Fremantle’s favourite venues – Mojos, North Fremantle Bowls Club, the Railway Hotel, the Swan Lounge and the Swan Basement, running from 7pm ’til late.

At the Swan Lounge, bask in a tuneful array of folk-tinged sounds from the likes of New Nausea, Catherine Traicos, Dan Howls, Big Orange and Salary.

Step into the Swan Basement for some neo-soul, dub, psyche and bombastic electro swing courtesy of Demon Days, The U-Nites, Ruby May and The Chakra Khans, Bambuseae Rhythm Section (pictured) and Brassika.

Journey to the North Fremantle Bowls Club, in their 60th year for a smorgasbord of country, blues and folk brilliance courtesy of Billie Rogers and The Country Gentlemen, King of the Travellers, Belle Harvey, Conscious Dreamers Duo and Delilah Rose and the Gunslingers.

Or head to the Railway Hotel where things get loud and fast, with a wall of screeching guitars and deep howls inside and outside from Black Stone from The Sun, Southern River Band, The Limbs, Blindspot, Pat Chow, The Chlorines, Flossy and Aborted Tortoise.

And at Mojos, immerse yourself with some local hip hop, blissed out beats and rolling electronica of Max Black, Feels, Kuzich, Beckon and Ziggy with a full band taking you into the wee hours. Plus catch the team from Cloudwaves in the courtyard.

Presale tickets to Fremantle Winter Music Festival are available from this morning via rtrfm.com.au.

All ticket sales help to keep RTRFM on air and supporting local, independent music and arts.
