The Howie Games will record before a live audience

The Howie Games will record before a live audience, Wednesday 21st August at the ARA Darling Quarter Theatre in Sydney, in a first for the popular series hosted by Mark ‘Howie’ Howard, as he sits down with Olympic silver medallist and two-time BMW World Champion Sam Willoughby for a candid, raw and personal interview and share his inspirational story of overcoming adversity.

At the top of his game, just one month after the Rio Olympics, Sam tragically suffered a horrific spinal injury, putting an end to his sensational BMW racing career, but what he has achieved since that accident is unbelievable, a true story of courage, strength and resilience unlike any other.

Howie says, “The podcast aims to inspire and motivate, and we couldn’t have a better guest who will be able to easily exceed this objective than Sam Willoughby. Sam has a phenomenal story to share and I’ve no doubt he will captivate the live audience.”

Head of PodcastOne, Grant Tothill, says “This is a new territory for us and we’re so excited to give podcasters the chance to get up close and personal with one of their favourite podcasts.

Live recordings mean listeners can feel a part of the action, connecting with them in a different way to traditional podcasts. The debut live event with The Howie Games is a great opportunity for  us to find out exactly what PodcastOne fans want and how they want to consume our podcasts.”
