How did K rock get their logo on The Block for free

Some products pay millions for placement on top rating shows.

But K rock, that cheeky radio station from Geelong, paid nothing, nada, zilch to have their branded clothing on the top team on the top rating show, The Block.

How did they pull it off? How did K rock manage to get Block stars Andy and Ben to wear their branded merchandise?

The two Geelong locals are K rock fans. In fact, Andy, has been working for the station on the street crew for the past two years.

Program Director Leigh Kuhlmann explains, “We love to support local people smashing it on the main stage whether it be the Cats, our local Paralympians or these guys knocking it out of the park. The fact that they want to rep us on national TV, we can’t say no to that. Plus if it means I get to meet Scott Cam, what can I say? But seriously, we get to meet Scott Cam right?”

Now that K rock owes them, the lads could pressure the station for an on air gig. Or they could put in a quote to renovate the K rock building – apply to Dugald Cameron.
