Hot Tomato consolidated its lead in the survey, streaking ahead of second placed Gold FM and Sea FM, which both lost share.

Last survey was a close race, with only about one share point between the top three local commercial stations, but this survey changed all that, with Hot Tomato gaining 4.5 share points to score 18.4% overall.

Second placed Gold FM dropped 1.4 share points to 12.0%.

Third placed Sea FM lost 1.6 to 11.2%, followed by triple j, down 0.8 to 7.0%.

Local ABC station ABC91.7 gained 0.6 to 5.9%.

Brisbane stations are also heard on the Gold Coast. Notable stations from the Brisbane market included Nova, ABC Brisbane and all the ABC’s national networks.

The market has had some recent changes, with Sea FM launching a new breakfast lineup this year and Bianca Dye leaving Gold FM for ARN Brisbane. Hot Tomato appointed Dan Bradley as its full time Content Director at the end of last year.
