Hit still on top in Mackay but another Star is on the rise

Star 101.9 has made significant inroads in the most recent Xtra Insights survey of Mackay and the Whitsundays, picking up 3.9 overall to now sit within striking distance of Triple M and a move into second place.

Star’s 16.5 still trails Triple M’s 17.5 with the latter shedding 4.6 in this survey, while Hit Mackay & The Whitsundays added 0.3 to remain on top with 23.1.

ABC Tropical North still has a healthy 14.3 and 4MK has remained reasonably stable on 9.1 despite losing audience across its daytime sessions but picking up at nights.

In Breakfast, Sam & Rach (Hit) are up slightly to 23.9 and still have a good lead over Jay & Day (Triple M) while Rob Kidd was a big improver for Star, gaining 4.0 to jump into third and now just 0.5 behind second place.

Star made gains across all sessions, most notably up 5.9 in afternoons

Despite the rise of Star 101.9, the SCA stablemates still dominate the area with a combined weekly audience of 71,300.
