Veteran Golden Days Radio announcer and all round entertainer Bob Horsfall has been awarded an Order of Australia medal in The Queen’s Birthday 2011 Honours List. Bob who started entertaining at the age of ten, has worked in theatre, radio, television and film and has brought many pleasurable hours of entertainment to thousands of Australians.
Now retired, he continues to do this on a voluntary basis between 2 and 5pm every Wednesday afternoon on Melbourne’s Golden Days Radio, 95.7FM.
The people at Golden Days Radio say they are so very proud of Bob and the contribution he has made to the entertainment industry in Australia.
I grew up listening to Bob on The Greater 3UZ, a once great station sadly no longer in existence. Happily Bob is. Congratulations, thoroughly deserved.
