Hawkesbury Gold begins temporary broadcasts

Aspirant community broadcaster Hawkesbury Gold has begun sharing broadcast time on the 89.9 FM frequency as of this week.

Hawkesbury Radio group will now share air time with Hawkesbury Gold on an agreed time share basis:

Hawkesbury Gold - noon Wednesday to midnight Saturday
Hawkesbury Radio - midnight Saturday to noon Wednesday

radioinfo readers will remember that Hawkesbury Radio lost its full time licence and is now operating on a TCBL. A third aspirant group has also come forward and is also attempting to gather support for test broadcasts.

Hawkesbury Gold association members celebrated their first broadcasts on their facebook page, with warm congratulations from supporters for the first week's broadcasts.

Hawkesbury Gold is now a reality!!!!!!!

A huge vote of thanks to all those sturdy souls who laboured, sweated, toiled and cogitated to to create an entire radio station in just FOUR WEEKS.

Hawkesbury Valley Community Radio Association Inc, (HVCR) has been granted a twelve month Temporary Community Broadcast Licence by the ACMA. The Founding Executive group is:

Rodney Rose (President)
Terry Malecki (Vice President)
Ray Medina (Treasurer)
John Bryant (Secretary)

Thank God!! No more of those Country Hobbos playing those uneducated Country Music Tracks from Try Hards!! I would love to be a presenter on the new system. You could not do it before because the Country And Western people were in charge!! Thank God the ACMA acted on that dud bunch that were there all those years!! Yi Hah!!!
