Sydney talk station 2UE is almost back to full strength this week after a holiday break which saw several internal changes implemented and a short lived breakfast stint by Larry Emdur, who did not want to reveal the nature of his third party contracts on the 2UE website presenters interests disclosure page.
The station is going into the new year with an advertising campaign aimed at keeping core listeners and enticing any lost listeners back from its rivals 2GB and ABC702.
The creative is a light hearted look at what it takes to become a talkback personality – in this case the ability to talk too much from childhood. The commercial shows the main station presenters as children, at school or at home being told to wash their mouth out with soap or write lines for talking too much in class.
Any radio announcer would relate to the cute concept.
