Golden Days Radio now heard in retirement facilities

Retirement and aged care facilities across Australia can now hear the melodic sounds of Golden Days Radio thanks to the efforts of an Australian company Web2TV.  The President of the Melbourne based community station on 95.7 FM, Larry James has told radioinfo he is very proud of the new development.

Web2TV combines web technology and TV networks allowing Retirement and Aged Care facilities to entertain and communicate with their residents. Features include daily notices, kitchen menus, photo boards, community message boards and radio. All of these features can be broadcast through the TV system at the facility to the residents own TV sets.

The addition of Golden Days Radio to the in-house systems can help residents stay connected with the greater community. After requests from many residents throughout Australia, Golden Days Radio has now become the default radio station on the system.

Residents can now hear the great music from the 20s to the 60s plus radio serials, light classical, country, jazz, dance bands and much more. Listeners can also hear government initiatives and health and welfare programs in the station’s COTA Vic and Community News programs.

The service is currently installed in over 60 Aged Care and Retirement Living sites across Australia and more are being added.
