Gold FM still number one, Hot Tomato biggest improver on Gold Coast.
Gold FM retained the mantle of number 1 on the Gold Coast with 14.9% of the market (-0.2), while Hot Tomato’s 14.7% share (+1.1) reveals a repeat of the solid gains in survey 2, making it the biggest mover in the market.
Gold FM’s best result comes in the 55-64 bracket (+5.1), taking the station to over a quarter of the market and maintaining its strangehold over that demo, while the station has taken a hit to its over 65s (-4.7). Gold posted minor falls in all timeslots before 4pm, and minor gains from Drive onwards. Richard, Bridge & Spida see their lead in Breakfast cut by more than half to 1.5 points ahead of the nearest competition.
Consistency is the key for Hot Tomato, whIch rose across all timeslots to now sit at number 1 or 2 all week.
Mal & Luke (pictured) in Drive (+1.4 to 15.5) take top spot from Sea FM. A hit to the station’s 10-17 age bracket (-6.0 to 20.1) is made up for in a solid result for the more coveted 18-24 demographic (+2.9 to 16.0).
Sea FM (-0.2 to 12.6) sliped in its key youth demographics (10-17 -8.6 to 28.3 & 18-24 -3.2 to 25.4), but still managed to stay top of those segments, as well as strengthening in 25-39 (+3.2 to 22.1) to be number 1 there too. Only minor gains and losses are recorded in individual timeslots.
triple j (-0.4 to 8.9) showed a minor slide to stay in a safe 4th, while ABC stations 91.7 (+0.1 to 4.8) and 612 (-0.1 to 4.6) took out 5th and 6th respectively.
