Go Straight Home with Southern Cross Local Works’ new footy drive show

A new weekly footy program The Home Straight with Scott Sattler and Spida Everitt kicks off tomorrow evening from 5:30pm on 30 Southern Cross Local Works stations in regional Australia.

Southern Cross Media Local Works stations have launched a new show for the footy season. The Home Straight with rugby league great Scott Sattler and AFL legend Spida Everitt kicks off this Friday afternoon and will air weekly on 30 Local Works stations.

Scotty and Spida are two of Australia’s best known football personalities, and each week they will give listeners an insight into the world of sports from the inside. The show features exclusive access to some of the world’s biggest sports stars plus they won’t be scared to tackle the hard issues on the week’s hottest games.

Scott ‘Satts’ Sattler is a former NRL great is Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt, is a 291 game AFL bad-boy superstar who has had just as many hair dos and tattoos than games. Each week they are also joined by their alter-ego The Grumpy Old Man who promises to will make Borat look pitiful.

Southern Cross Media’s National Group Program Director Rod Brice is looking forward to the new network sports program and says it is something the market has been asking for:

“It is exciting to welcome two sporting greats to our network. We are looking forward to creating an entertaining, light hearted and informative weekly sports program, targeting the very passionate 35+ demographic.”

The Home Straight with Scott and Spida airs 5:30pm to 6:30pm Friday nights during the footy season.
