Alan Jones is standing by his statements on climate change and has told the activist group GetUp to “get stuffed.” GetUp made a complaint to the ACMA about what it says were Jones’ inaccurate comments that human beings only had a small effect on climate change. The group complained the Jones’ figures were inaccurate. Jones denies his comments were inaccurate and says the group has misquoted him for political purposes.

“We’d certainly like to see Mr Jones correct this incorrect statement,” GetUp spokesman Paul Mackay told The Australian newspaper.

Jones responded: “Tell them to get stuffed. Who are Getup? What credibility do these people have? Nil. Other than they’ve backed the Labor Party.”

Jones says he is not worried about what ACMA may find in its investigation. “We don’t frighten easily.”
