Fresh AFTRS graduates score impressive positions

2014 AFTRS Graduates are begining to secure work within the industry with Karla Arnall being appointed Multiplatform Reporter at ABC Albany and Alex Kolcakovski starting as Power FM Bega’s new breakfast co-host and music director.

Karla holds an AFTRS Graduate Diploma in Radio, a double-degree in Communications and International studies from UTS, and was the recipient of the 2014 Selwyn Speight Scholarship for Radio Reporting.

She has previous experience with 2SER 107.3 and Fbi 95.4, Sydney and describes herself as a radio maker, language lover and enthusiastic phone talker.

Alex joins Geordi Norton on ‘The Big Brekky’ show. He is thrilled to have secured a full-time gig that combines his love of music with early starts and entertaining people.

Alex holds an AFTRS Graduate Diploma in Radio, a Diploma in Screen & Media from Homesglen TAFE and has also studied comedy writing and stand up with Tim Ferguson.
