NOVA Entertainment’s fourth smooth Festival of Chocolate in The Rocks was a crowd pleaser over the weekend, attracting huge crowds and over 100 exhibitors on both days.

With returning partners Lindt, Callebaut and Knebel Kitchens, and Sydney Props Specialists, Baci Perugina, Endeavour Beer and Mr Black on board for the first time, the smooth Festival of Chocolate in The Rocks Facebook page’s reach was 2.4 million demonstrating the festival’s popularity.

In the Baci Chocolatiers’ Quarter attendees gathered to watch acclaimed pastry chef Dean Gibson create a world-first – a 150kg moving chocolate sculpture while Zumbo’s special ski lodge, Pimp My Chimney and the returning Lindt Lounge were popular attractions. New additions, The Mr Black Espresso Martini Bar and Cellarmasters Touring Cellar Door provided something unique for adult attendees.

The Callebaut Test Kitchen, hosted by smoothfm’s Cameron Daddo, drew crowds to watch demonstrations by some of the best pastry and dessert chefs including The Rocks local, Jean Michel Raynaud from La Renaissance Patisserie, By Gigi owner Giovana Falanga, Masterchef guest and owner of Savour School Melbourne Kristen Tibballs and owner of Josophan’s Fine Chocolates Jodie Van Der Velden.

smoothfm’s weekend announcers Richard Wilkins, Melissa Doyle, David Campbell, morning host Ty Frost, Mellow Music’s Cameron Daddo and smoothfm 95.3 breakfast announcers Bogart Torelli and Glenn Daniel mingled and took photos with festival attendees.
