It was reported earlier this week that former radio host Mark Parton is believed to have put up his hand to stand for the Liberals in the seat of Brindabella in the ACT election.

radioinfo can now confirm Mr Parton will stand after launching a Facebook page and stating, “I want to represent the people of Tuggeranong in our Legislative Assembly. For far too long we have been ignored by ACT Labor. Things must change”.

The high profile candidate quit 2CC in December last year.

He shared his new page in a post on his personal account earlier this morning.
