Fine Music 102.5 celebrates 40 years

Fine Music 102.5 is celebrating its 40th year of FM broadcasting with Live from Sydney Town Hall, a free gala with some of Australia’s most renowned musicians.

The live performances will cover a range of styles and genres and will feature a world premier piece for clarinet, piano and soprano performed by the Omega Ensemble.

Along with the live performances, Fine Music 102.5 radio presenters will be hosting segments, interviewing special guests in attendance on the day and holding vox-pops in the audience – all being broadcast on the radio.

Special guest musicians will present performances of 20 minutes each, including; Frances Madden and Band, Nexas Trio, Acacia Quartet, Duo HistoireOmega Ensemble with Jane SheldonAlicia Crossley and friends and the incredible young pianist Kevin Fan.
 
“This live event marks the pinnacle of our 40th anniversary celebrations in 2015 and is an important occasion not only for the station but also for the people of Sydney. We are a community radio station committed to serving the communities and neighbourhoods of Sydney and we believe it is fitting to present a free event open to all lovers of music.” said Peter Kurti, Chair of Fine Music 102.5.
 
All fans of fine music, jazz and contemporary, friends past and present of Fine Music 102.5 are invited to attend and encouraged to invite friends or families.
