FBi encourages Underage Sets

FBi has launched year 2 of its under 18 DJ competition called ‘Underage Sets,’ with major sponsor, SAE Institute.

FBi is challenging anyone 18 or under who reckon they¹re the next generation
of Sydney¹s DJ talent to put their mixing where their mouth is.

Five finalists will get the chance to mix live on FBi¹s flagship dance show
SUNSET, and listeners will vote on the winning set, with the winner
receiving an SAE Audio Engineering Diploma course worth $13,000.

Voting is via SMS and one lucky voter will be the recipient of a 6 month SAE
Electronic Music Production course worth $4,000.

FBi Program Manager Meagan Loader says the competition “gives entrants a foot in the door to their DJing future by being able to play to thousands who tune in for FBI¹s Sunset program. Plus, they get to meet and learn from the program¹s hosts who are some of Sydney¹s
biggest DJs. Now we¹ve teamed up with SAE, FBi¹s Underage Sets is the
perfect start for anyone serious about a sound career. And of course the
name¹s quite funny.”

SAE Institute is the world¹s largest audio college with over 45 campuses on
4 continents, providing training for musicians and audio engineers since
1976.

The launch of Underage Sets coincides with a fresh new Winter lineup for
SUNSETS (6-8pm): Mondays with DEEPCHILD, Tuesday: WILL STYLES & LEARNED HAND from FUNKTRUST, Wednesday: SHANTAN with STOLEN RECORDS, Thursday: AJAX and DOOM from BANG GANG, and Fridays: MO FUNK and TIM HARDAKER from INTHEMIX

UNDERAGE SETS call for entries is open now until June 23, details on the website below.
