An evening without Fred Hollows

ABC Local Radio Presenter James O’Loghlin is gearing up for a special live broadcast next Monday 10 evening to pay tribute to Fred Hollows.

Entitled AN EVENING WITHOUT FRED HOLLOWS, the program will “pay tribute to the late, lamented, larrikin medical and social pioneer on the tenth anniversary of his death and debate some of the issues raised by his large life and his work”.

The program will also showcase musical and comedic talent with special live acoustic performances by george, Vanessa Amorosi, Troy Cassar-Daley, Jimmy Little, Fourplay, Justine Bradley, Flacco and The Sandman. All artists have generously donated their services for the evening.

AN EVENING WITHOUT FRED HOLLOWS will be broadcast before a live audience of 500 in the Eugene Goossens Hall at the ABC’s Ultimo Building and heard by listeners throughout NSW and the ACT. The broadcast will also be audio-streamed live on abc.net.au/sydney and on local radio websites across the state.
