Eoin Cameron returns to breakfast

Recently retired  Eoin “Cammo” Cameron is once again setting his wake up alarm for the crack of dawn to join 98five’s Brekky with Kirste and Morro tomorrow from 8am.

After 47 years in the industry, Mr Cameron turned off his ABC720 breakfast show microphone in March but Brekky host Paul “Morro” Morrison — West Coast Eagles chaplain and musician — convinced him to temporarily come out of retirement.

“It’s a case of ecstasy and irony as nine years ago Cammo gave me my first foray into radio when he interviewed me after I had released an album in 2007,” Morro said.

“So to return the favour after his move off the Brekky scene is just brilliant.

Mr Cameron will join the Brekky duo tomorrow, Thursday 12 May, to discuss this year’s Eurovision Song Contest: a topic that’s close to the heart of the former number one rated radio host.

“I’m really stoked to have Cammo as the brekky master and Kirste and Myself feeling like the apprentices,” Morro said.

“Hopefully he will be on his best behaviour for our 98five family. It’s not like he doesn’t know how to do controversial
.”
