Amongst the many reactions to the Bob Carr – John Singleton stoush have been two significant developments around the issue of corruption and the wielding of power and influence.

Communications Minister Alston has said in Federal Parliament today he will refer the matter to the ABA for investigation.

In the NSW Parliament, Opposition Leader John Brogden has also threatened to refer the matter to the state corruption body, the ICAC.

The implications for the owner of 2GB and/or the NSW Premier could be significant if either the regulator or the corruption investigator were to find anything wrong in what either did.
