Emma Freedman road tests a cute #Uberkitten

Friday 06 February, 2015
Uberkittens is an uber-cute new trend hitting Australia.

Alternative taxi service Uber will pick up and deliver a kitten to your office for 15 minutes of cuddles, if you donate $40 to an animal shelter charity.

Road testing the sevice, Uber brought some kittens to Southern Cross Austereo today and Emma Freedman had a play, much to the delight of the other cat lover in the Scoopla team, Jules.

It happened in SCA's Melbourne offices, where Emma Freedman seems to be fitting in nicely to her new gig as co-host of national nightly Scoopla Show, with Jules.

The whole point of the Uber Kittens promotion is to raise awareness for animal shelters and kitten adoption.

HOW IT WORKS:
Download the Uber app
Request the ‘KITTENS’ option in your app between 12pm and 4pm (local time)
If kittens are available, you will get to enjoy 15 minutes of kitten cuteness delivered to your office, your sweetheart or even your favourite cat lady.
