Elf Radio spreads digital Christmas cheer

ARN re-launches all-Christmas station It’s that time of year again when most families are dusting off the old Christmas decorations from the garage or attic and untangling the lights.

At ARN they’re taking a digital station out of mothballs and reviving the short playlist that’s chock full of all time favourite songs going back 50, 60 and 70 years or more.

Last year Elf Radio was so popular with those wanting to soak up the sounds of Christmas that it won the Australian Commercial Radio Award for ‘Best Digital Radio Format – Short Term.’

From today Santa’s little Elf helpers are back on air broadcasting across the festive season. Elf Radio plays Christmas carols and classics from artists including Bryan Adams, Michael Buble, Kelly Clarkson, U2, Guy Sebastian, Paul Kelly and many more.

ARN’s Digital Manager, Nick Condon, says: “Winning an ACRA was a great achievement for ARN’s digital team. This is Elf Radio’s fourth year on digital radio and we are very proud of how far we’ve come since the launch of digital radio in 2009. This year’s ACRA win was more than the icing on the cake … it’s the star on top of the Christmas tree!”

Elf Radio will broadcast from today through until the 26th of December in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide on DAB+ digital radio and online. www.elfradio.com.au
