Edgy music and pure gold tracks on ARN’s new collection albums

ARN and Universal Music Australia have announced plans to release two new compilation albums in October, as part of a new commercial partnership.

The first album, Pure Gold, will be released this Friday October 3, with the second release of music from popular urban station The Edge will be released ther following week, on October 10.

ARN’s National Content Director Duncan Campbell says: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Universal and have the opportunity to showcase their talented pool of artists with this collaboration. Listeners of both the Pure Gold network and The Edge are keen music lovers, so we’re really excited to
now be able to offer our audiences the chance to have an album packed with their favourite hits from their favourite stations.”

This is the first time Universal Music has worked together with ARN to release this style of compilation albums, and these two releases are the result of a successful working relationship with the network’s Strategic Marketing Division.

“We’re excited to be joining forces with fellow market leaders ARN. Though the Pure Gold Network and The Edge 96.ONE station have distinct musical directions that are very different from each other, our wide variety of talent at Universal means that whether it’s hot, new talent or seasoned performers, we have the music that listeners love. This breadth of scope in reaching music fans of all ages is the perfect fit for ARN and Universal and I’m looking forward to us working together on what we feel will be a really successful collaboration,” says Darren Aboud, joint Managing Director Universal Music Australia.
