Ben Shields, the Program Director of Western Visitor Radio, was re-elected to Dubbo City Council with the second largest primary vote.

Shields campaigned heavily on tourism and increased development in Dubbo.
He increased his vote substantially from the 1999 poll when he was first elected at 18 years old.
