triple j’s celebration of 40 years continued with its online station Double J which changed its programming yesterday to incorporate past presenters.

Among the former presenters were Adam Spencer & Wil Anderson, Roy & HG, Angela Catterns, Mikey Robbins & Helen Razer and Scott Dooley, all of whom remain very relevant in the entertainment industry today.

Between 11am and midday, the station replayed its first ever hour from 1975, hosted by Holger Brockman which famously began with risqué Skyhooks song You Only Like Me Coz I’m Good In Bed.

Gayle Austin, who presented from 1-2pm wrote and article about the origins of Double J for radioinfo last year.

The celebration follows the Beat the Drum concert held in the Domain on Friday.

While many Australian acts took to stage, the highlight was Daniel John’s cover of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit, the song that came in at #1 on triple j’s Hottest 100 of All Time in 2009.
