Double J to play 1997 Hottest 100

Last January, Double J replayed the entire Hottest 100 of 1996.


Spiderbait topped the list with ‘Buy me a pony’, and there were plenty of other Australian showings with Powderfinger, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Fauves, Rebecca’s Empire, You Am, Frente, Tumbleweed, Midnight Oil, and The Whitlams all scoring a spot. The response was so immense that Double J decided to do it again this year.

Double J is going back 20 years and replaying the entire 1997 Hottest 100 in full on Sunday 28 January. 

Caz Tran will be counting down the best songs of 1997, as well as playing archival interviews and chatting with artists you haven’t heard from in a while, and plenty of mid-90s classics.
