DMG Gosford counting down to launch

DMG Radio’s new NSW Central Coast station on FM 104,5 is moving towards launch, with transmitter tests getting underway tomorrow (Monday 16 Feb), and a series of announcements expected in the next few weeks.

The station name will be officially revealed at
DMG’s Ilya Avenue studios in Erina at 10am tomorrow, when General Manager Tony Nielsen will also flick the switch to begin the test transmissions.

DMG has spent about $20 million on the new station. The licence cost $13.5 million. There are already 20 staff on board, with another 7 expected by launch date.

The station will be DMG’s 64th Australian Radio station.

Meanwhile, as the Central Coast begins, DMG has also begun preliminary testing of its Nova Adelaide frequency. A test transission from the new studios in Hindmarsh Square was on air last week. The Adelaide Nova station will be the DMG’s next station to launch after the Central Coast is on air.
