DMG appoints Regional Program Director

DMG Radio has announced the appointment of Mike Perso to the newly created position of Program Director – DMG Regional Radio. DMG operates 60 stations in its regional group and this new position is a significant strengthening of the regional group.

Perso is “one the radio industry’s most experienced and respected programmers.” In a career spanning twenty years, which included a number of years as Program Director with Australian Radio Network, he joined the DMG Group in 2002 initially as Promotions Director at Nova 96.9 in Sydney and then in a project programming role throughout 2003 for DMG. That position has now culminated with his appointment to the Regional group programming role.

DMG Regional Radio Managing Director Rob Gamble told radioinfo: “Mike’s appointment is integral to the continued development of both the regional and the wider DMG group. His expertise in developing and nurturing our regional on air talent and our regional programmers is so important to the growth of the company. It enables us to feed new talent into our growing network, such as our new Sunshine Coast station and into our Nova network.“

Perso will be based out of DMG‘s Albury hub.
