Dicko and Dave’s 30+ suburban superstar grand final tonight

Vega 91.5’s Dicko and Dave have been searching for the best unsigned talent aged over 30 in their Suburban Superstar quest. The promotion concludes in what promises to be a spectacular Grand Final at The Palms at Crown tonight, Thursday 11 March.

The four week audition process to search for Dicko and Dave’s second 30+
Suburban Superstar started on February 10 and concluded on 3 March.
Hundreds of hopeful vocalists auditioned at four suburban locations for the
chance to make it to the final round and win fame and fortune with their undiscovered talents.

The final four contenders will perform on the same stage as top Australian
rock band Hoodoo Gurus, Australian Idol winner Natalie Gauci performing her
new single Without You and dancers from Jason Coleman’s Ministry of
Dance.

Natalie Gauci and her partner Hamish Cowan have written an original song
that the winner will record. Natalie has followed the finalists’ progress closely,
attending the auditions, guiding the final four with mastering their songs and
will be provide vocal coaching during rehearsals on Thursday to prepare them
for their performances on the Grand Final that night.

Dicko, who knows a bit about singing competitions from his role as an Idol judge, has told radioinfo:

“I knew the public would embrace our singing competition and
was convinced of the untapped potential of singers over 30. We have
uncovered some unexpected and extraordinary singers with amazing personal
stories.”

In the town which catapulted plumber John Farnham to fame all those years ago, the four finalists hoping to enjoy the same success are:

Bricklayer Shane La Roche from Box Hill North

Welder Steve Ballard from Mt Evelyn

Pre-school music teacher Gina Collins from Greensborough

Sales Assistant Caroline Taylor Peers from Tyabb

The ultimate winner will record Natalie Gauci’s original single with musical director Chong Lim and the single will be added to Vega’s playlist.
