Danny Lakey shows how to meet new friends in isolation

Monday 30 March, 2020
Number Neighbours is going viral!

Hmmmm, perhaps not the appropriate term right now. How 'bout "it's catching on like wildfire?" Too soon?

Okay, let's just say it's becoming very popular very fast.

A Number Neighbour is someone you dial at random with a phone number that is one plus or one minus your own.

The Hit Network's night’s host Danny Lakey thought it would be a great idea to text his number neighbours to check in and see how they are going during these testing times.

Here's the text of the text he sent,
Dear Number Neighbour.
Just wanted to check in and see how you’re going at this time?
Stay safe, remain vigilant and wash those hands. Yours Sincerely 0433773***.
A local from the Gold Coast responded and they got him on the phone.

The Danny Lakey Late Show airs 9pm – midnight weekdays.

What a great idea.
Thanks for the idea and I hope you don't mind if I and some friends in our local LIONS club continue it.
