Dan and Ken new to drive on Southern Cross Local Works stations

Macquarie Southern Cross Media has announced a brand new drive time show on the Local Works Stream of 27 radio stations airing across all states of Regional Australia. The Dan and Ken Show will hit the airwaves from Monday 18 January 2010, with an adult contemporary feel targeted at a core demographic 40-54 and secondary target of 35-59.

Dan Lyons and Ken Green started their radio career with Macquarie Southern Cross Media in 2004 and are back in 2010. After a short stint pursuing other projects, they have re-joined the fold launching the network’s first ever national drive time radio show targeting the lucrative 35+ demographic.

It will be a light and at times cheeky show, but Dan and Ken won’t be scared to tackle the hard issues.

Macquarie Southern Cross Media’s National Group Program Director Rod Brice has told radioinfo the new show is something the market has been asking for.

“It’s exciting to welcome Dan and Ken back to the network and we’re looking forward to creating an entertaining network drive time program, targeting the loyal 35+ demographic. These boys know their stuff! The program will feature comedy and lots of interaction from callers, as well as the music being relevant and memorable to adult Regional Australia.”

The duo commence their new show on 18 January, Monday – Friday from 4pm-7pm EDST.
