Crocmedia interested in broadcasting the Olympics

With the ABC backing out of their 67 year radio broadcast partnership with the Olympics late last year, Crocmedia CEO Craig Hutchison has declared an interest in the rights.

There are concerns that the Olympics may not go ahead due to the current coronavirus outbreak but should they happen Hutchison says the proximity of Japan to Australia makes such rights very tempting,

“I think it’s going to be a pretty rare Olympics. To be an hour apart from the timezone, it’ll be the most consumed Olympics ever.”

Crocmedia has sports stations across Australia and also broadcasts via the SEN app and sen.com.au
