Community Radio Training Grants available now but closing soon

March 13 is the closing date for Expressions Of Interest in partnering with the CMTO to access the next round of fully-subsidised community radio training.

If this appeals to you then Complete an expression Of Interest Form now.

CMTO can apply to the Community Broadcasting Foundation for funding on your station’s behalf to cover accredited certificate-level training as well as non-accredited one-day Pathways workshops. When your station partners with the CMTO, they say they can look after all aspects of your station’s training needs, including organising trainers/coaches in remote areas, and will even acquit the grant for you.

The next semester includes workshops on how to attract station sponsorship, fund raising and alternate income streams, as well as media law (with a module about election coverage), presentation skills, governance and how to organise outside broadcasts. These courses are available to all station staff and/or volunteers.

To find out how your station can benefit from fully subsidised professional training, head to the CMTO Website where you’ll find information on the full range of training accessible to community broadcasters. To get the ball rolling, complete our easy on-line Training Expression Of Interest Form and remember, you have until March 13 to submit your EOI.
