Commercial Radio’s conference and awards – bookings open

Bookings are now open for Commercial Radio’s big industry events for this year – the National Radio Conference and Awards in October.

This year’s National Radio Conference consists of a variety of streams enabling delegates to choose the topics of most relevance to them.

The conference will be held at Sydney Convention Centre, Ballroom, Darling Harbour on Friday October 17.

Sessions will include:

A “Regulatory Face Off” which will examine the regulatory
regimes here and abroad
with speakers Professor David Flint
Chairman ABA, Richard Hooper –
Deputy Chair, Ofcom, Dr Bob Horton –
Deputy Chair of ACA, and Simon Wilkie – FCC Chief Economist.

A Political Panel Session with
Senator Alston,
Lindsay Tanner and
John Cherry.

Research sessions; Creative briefings; HR sessions; an industry debate

and a seminar on Digital Radio.

The 2003 Australian Commercial Radio Awards will be held at the same venue the following evening – Saturday October 18.

The Awards are Radio’s night to recognise and encourage talent from all areas of the commercial radio industry. It is always a glittering night and this year is expected to be bigger and better than ever.
