Rocktober begins today and dmg’s Classic Rock stations, 91.5 Melbourne and 95.3 Sydney, will spend the entire month celebrating all the Classic Rock stars and the stories behind their music.

dmg has revived the classic Rocktober programming and promotional concept for a third year in this 31 day celebration of Classic Rock. The month will include stories behind the biggest ever Classic Rock songs, Rocktober Rewinds, mini concerts and those great moments in Classic Rock history that rocked the world.

Rocktober will also celebrate some of the great Classic albums released in October such as U2’s The Unforgettable Fire (1984), John Mellencamp’s Scarecrow (1985), INXS Listen Like Thieves (1985) and Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell (1977) in the Sunday Night Album of the Week.

Classic Rock listeners will hear the best of Classic Rock stars like Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen to Jimmy Barnes, Bono and Freddie Mercury.
