A change of career for Nigel Johnson

Tuesday 19 July, 2016

Mix 106.3's Drive Show host Nigel Johnson has resigned.

After almost 19 years working in various roles at Hit104.7 and sister station Mix 106.3, Nigel has decided it’s time for a career change and has accepted a role at  ACT ESA (Emergency Services Agency) in the Media and Communications Team.

Nigel took on the Drive shift at Mix 106.3 in February after many years as part of Canberra’s Hit104.7 Breakfast show.

His last day on air will be Friday 29 July 2016.

Rob Duckworth will be taking over the Drive shift on Mix106.3 from August 1 until September 17  which is the end of the Survey 3 and final ratings period in Canberra for the year.

Mix 106.3 and Hit104.7 Content Director Jason Matthews said: “All at Hit104.7 and Mix 106.3 thank Nige for his many years of service and his contribution to both stations. He is one of Canberra’s most loved radio personalities and I am sure all his loyal listeners will join us in wishing him all the very best on his new career.”

Canberra FM is a joint venture between ARN and SCA.
