Mix 102.3 Adelaide’s evening presenter Don Plenty has been axed.

He finishes this week and will be replaced by Richard Mercer’s program from Sydney. Plenty had been presenting a similar format to ‘The Love God’ in that shift.

“I wish it wasn’t me,” Plenty told radioinfo, “but as a business decision I can see where they are coming from.”

“In the ten years I have been on air I have only been at two stations, my first station 5AU and here at Mix, so it was a bit of a shock… You hear of this happening, but I didn’t think it would happen to me at this time.”

Plenty is not bitter about the decision and will be open to offers after taking a short holiday. “The management has handled it well,” he said, “they have let me finish out the week and say goodbye to my audience and they have treated me well.”
