CBF seeks consultants to support community station resilience

The Community Broadcasting Foundation is inviting submissions from suitably qualified consultants to provide independent, expert advice and guidance on how the they can best invest in strengthening community media organisations, particularly the governance, planning, financial and technical recapitalisation capacity of these organisations.

Each year the CBF receives approximately $20 million via the Department of Communication and the Arts to support community radio and television broadcasting and related online activities.

The consultancy will inform how the CBF invests in building the resilience of community media organisations through its grant programs.

Part of the consultant’s role will be to review the last two years of CBF grants and current grant program documentation to identify and provide case studies of best practice and case studies that demonstrate practices that have failed to strengthen station health.

This involves analysis of applications and reports of approximately 500 grants allocated over the period.

Final tender submissions must be lodged by Friday 30 August 2019, 3.00pm (AEST).
