The CBAA Community Radio Awards are back for 2020

The CBAA 2020 Community Radio Awards open today.

The last twelve months has had its challenges for community broadcasters, from the intensity of the Black Summer Australia to the rolling nature of COVID-19.

These events have pushed community stations, staff, and volunteers, whether because fire has damaged equipment, or they have suddenly found their entire team creating content and broadcasting from home.

However, with these great challenges, there has been some amazing innovation and community connection.

CBAA Chief Executive Officer, Jon Bisset, says, “We want to celebrate the broadcasting sectors achievements and the achievements of your people. We want to celebrate the sectors innovation, perseverance, and community champions.”

The CBAA Awards includes categories for stations; radio programs and initiatives; and for individuals or teams spread across 30 categories.
