CBAA Board nominations close Friday 12th

Nominations for the CBAA board close next Friday.

In 2018, there are four Board member positions to be filled as well as the youth representative role.

The vacancies are

  • Vice President (Radio) for a term ending at the 2020 CBAA AGM.
  • Three (3) Ordinary Board Members for a term ending at the 2020 CBAA AGM.
  • Youth Representative for a term ending at the 2020 CBAA AGM.

Outgoing Youth Representative, Pip Younes, says “The youth rep position on the CBAA board is such an incredible opportunity. You can expect for your voice to be heard, and appreciated, and to make great connections with people in the community radio sector.”

The CBAA encourages people from regional or rural stations, Indigenous or non-English speaking backgrounds to apply as well as those with accountancy or legal qualifications or experience in fundraising.

Nominees are expected to have a commitment to the ideals of community broadcasting, a solid knowledge of and interest in the development of community broadcasting as a national sector and commit to representing the interests of the whole sector – not just their station or special interest group.

To be eligible, nominees must be nominated by two Permanent Community Broadcasting Members or Temporary Community Broadcasting Members of the CBAA.
