Cathy O'Connor, CEO of Nova Entertainment, has recorded an Oral History interview with Sandra Odorisio at the NFSA ( National film and Sound Archive of Australia) in Sydney.

The interview joins a range of radio industry oral histories collected over the years as part of the Once Upon a Wireless project.

Other radio people who have been interviewed include Jeremy Cordeaux, Kath Letch and radioinfo’s Steve Ahern.

Once Upon A Wireless is one of, if not the largest, single Oral History project that the NFSA has been involved in. It was conceived originally by former Sydney broadcaster Bruce Asmus, in the late 1980s.

It was initially envisaged as a three-year project which would yield around 500 interviews and more than 1000 hours of recording with radio pioneers.

I hope Paul Thompson has been included in this project?

The founding father of both Austereo (Southern Cross Austereo) and DMG (Nova Entertainment).
