Canberra Survey: FM 104 takes the lead

The first Canberra survey for 2015 has been released.

FM104.7 moved into the lead, with the biggest jump of the survey, rising 1.5 share points to 18.5%. The station’s Skyfire promotion (pictured) was held during this survey.

Previous market leader ABC666 dropped 2.1 share points to 15.3%, moving into second place.

Third placed Mix 106.3 had the biggest drop of the survey, down 3.5 share points to 11.6% overall. Radio National was fourth, up 2.2 to 10.3%. Classic FM sliped 0.6 to 9.3% and Triple J gained 0.4 to 8.5%.

2CA had a good rise, which will be pleasing for group PD Don Dawkins, who has just retired. The station rose 1.4 share points to 7.0%.

2CC slipped 0.3 to 6.0%, followed by ABC NewsRadio, down 1.0 to 3.0%.

FM 104.7 dominated the under 40 demographics, Mix won 40-54s and ABC666 won the over 55 age groups.

ABC666 won breakfast ahead of FM1047 and Radio National. FM1047 won the day time slots and weekends while ABC666 won evenings.

The survey was conducted for CRA between Sunday Feb 15 to Saturday Apr 11, 2015.
