Campaign gains momentum

Thousands of community radio listeners, volunteers and supporters have petitioned against the Coalition Government’s decision to cut $1.4 million per annum to the sector’s digital service. 

The Keep Community Radio now has over 52,000 signatures. 

The Day of Action, #keepcommunity radio trended on Twitter and almost 90,000 people were talking about it on Facebook.

With just a few weeks until the election the campaign continues with a focus directly on MPs in marginal seats.

The CBAA campaign aims to restore digital radio transmission funding.
