The Byron and Kristie Show premieres on SeaFM

101.3 Sea FM listeners this morning woke up for the first time with The Byron and Kristie Show.

Across the morning Byron Cooke and Kristie Mercer received welcomes from their audience and local identities, including Gosford Mayor Lawrie McKinna and Central Coast Mariners defender Zac Anderson

Even John Singleton welcomed the duo to the Coast, calling the team his favourite breakfast show when 2GO’s Sarah King is off sick. “That was huge coming from Singo, we’re a show that’s more than happy to finish second” said Byron.

The show now starts at the earlier time of 5am which didn’t deter Southern Cross Austereo Gosford General Manager Paul Wrigley listening in on the duo’s debut.

“I came to work to listen to the show at 5am, they sound like they are locals already, the best part is that they want to be Coasties. The show has already exceeded all of my expectations on the first day.”

Fifi Box a close friend of Cooke will be a regular on the show, in a segment every Friday morning.
