Broadcast Asia on in Singapore next week

BroadcastAsia2014 will provide a timely, behind-the-scenes look at the technology powering the World Cup in Brazil, the world’s most-watched sporting event.

Returning to Marina Bay Sands Singapore from 17 – 20 June, BroadcastAsia2014 will host key industry players who will showcase the cutting-edge technologies that play integral roles to bring the 64 matches from 12 stadiums to radio and tv stations in more than 200 countries worldwide.

“Rapid strides in digital entertainment technology have transformed the way content, including sports content, is created, delivered and consumed. Consumers are demanding high definition, on-the-go content, coupled with interactive and personalised viewing experiences on multiple platforms. BroadcastAsia2014 highlights the game-changing technologies in 4K/UHD, second screen and OTT that will come together at this year’s biggest sporting event to deliver live content in ultra HD resolution onto multiple mobile platforms,” said Calvin Koh, Assistant Project Director of BroadcastAsia from show organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services.

While the event does not have a significant radio component, it does showcase useful cross-platform equipment and this year has a multi-platform focus.

The conference and exhibition is in its 19th year.
