Brisbane’s Mayor jumps off the Goodwill Bridge

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner launched himself from the Goodwill Bridge this morning to support and raise money for local charity Hear and Say, and Nova 106.9 were there.

The Lord Mayor was mic’d up to Nova live on-air when he did his jump/swing at 8am and the breakfast team’s Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie crossed to their roving reporter Nick Allen-Ducat who was with the Lord Mayor on the Goodwill Bridge.

Cr Schrinner says “Hear and Say was most recently a beneficiary of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust Easter Appeal and I am looking forward to taking that support to the next level by leaping off the Goodwill Bridge to help local children with hearing loss.

“As Lord Mayor, my vision is to make the Brisbane of tomorrow better than the Brisbane of today and I hope by raising at least $1000 for this important cause, I can help make the lives of local children with hearing loss that little bit brighter.”

Cr Shrinner smashed his fundraising goal of $1,000 in less than 12 hours.
