While W.A. residents went back to the polling booths to vote for Federal Senators, the good folk of Brisbane were asked to make a much more important selection. After two intense weeks which has seen contestants from all over Brisbane trying to sing their favourite karaoke song under extreme performance conditions, it is now up to locals to determine the winner of Nova 106.9’s hilarious Extreme Karaoke competition.

Nova’s Extreme Karaoke invited contestants to perform their signature karaoke song while enduring extreme performance conditions dreamt up by the Nova breakfast trio which included:

·       WALK OF FEAR             
·       MINEFIELD MOUSETRAP        
·       ELECTRIC SHOCK      
·       SUMO SLAM             
·       PAINTBALL PAVAROTTI        
·       CREEPY CRAWLY COFFIN   
·       HEAD CASE      
·       THE FOOD FANS
 
Nova’s Listeners have been invited to vote for their favourite performer to find the overall winner of the extreme singing contest.

Listeners who participate in the voting have the chance to win $1000 cash.

The Extreme Karaoke winner will receive studio recording time, guaranteed radio airplay of their song and $1000 cash.

Nova Program Director, Jay Walkerden, said Extreme Karaoke had been a hit, providing many great laughs for listeners and breakfast team Ash, Kip and Luttsy.
