Brisbane media combine forces to raise funds for the Bushfire crisis

The major players in Brisbane’s media landscape will put aside any work rivalries and come together to raise money for Australia’s bushfire crisis.

Nova 106.9 has joined forces with News Corp, Nine, QMS and TLA to host an industry fundraiser tonight, Thursday 23 January 2020, with all proceeds going to Australian Red Cross.

The event will feature stand-up comedy acts, live bands, raffles and anything else organisers deem appropriate to fleece the pockets of Brisbane media professionals.

Nova 106.9 Agency Client Manager, Ollie Richardson, said the city was united in their support of those affected by the bushfires and wanted to help get Australian communities affected back on their feet.

“The deep compassion that is being felt across our country, in all sectors of the community, for the people and animals impacted by this tragedy is enormous,” Ollie said.

“We all want to help and we figure the best way of doing that is by getting all the key Brisbane media players together in one room and entertaining them while emptying their pockets.”

The fundraiser will take place at Brooklyn Standard, in Brisbane’s inner-city.

Tickets are $30 with all proceeds going to the Australian Red Cross. Tickets can be purchased at eventbrite
