Ben Latimer appointed PD of Mix 106.5 Sydney

MIX102.3 Program Director, Ben Latimer, received two pieces of good news today – a survey result increase for his Adelaide ARN station and a promotion.

Latimer has been promoted to Program Director of Sydney’s MIX106.5, beginning late July. He replaces Sam Zniber, who has just accepted a job back in France as Deputy Managing Director and Program General Manager for the two major French Radio Networks FUN RADIO and RTL2.

At just 29 years of age, Latimer will be one of the youngest Program Directors in the country – the fact he will be in the biggest market in the country is a real testament to his talent according to ARN Adelaide GM, Steve Rowe.

Latimer has been programmer of MIX102.3 for nearly 12 months and has maintained the station’s position as number 1 FM station in Adelaide throughout his time there. Prior to being MIX102.3 Program Director, Latimer held the same position at 5DN.

Steve Rowe says: “Ben won this position over a number of quality applicants so it is a fine achievement on his part and recognition for his performance at Mix102.3 and the difficult task at 5DN prior to that. Ben is a great contributor, a forward thinker and has a fantastic work ethic.

“I have to take comfort and pleasure that he is achieving one of the personal goals he set a lot earlier than expected – and that he is staying with the ARN network.”

A replacement for Ben Latimer has not been announced. In the meantime, he will be clocking up the frequent flier points while maintaining his focus on Adelaide with side trips in between to Sydney.
